FemLink-Art

The FemLink-Art collective (FL’Art) was founded in 2005 by two female visual artists, C. M. Judge (USA) and Véronique Sapin (France), with the aim of introducing sisterhood into the art world with a concrete, international dimension.

Building new forms of artistic networking and transnational cooperation appeared to them as a form of active solidarity that could contribute to raising the profile of the work of women artists.

Since October 2005, when FemLink-Art was launched, and February 2006, when the first video-composition was broadcast in the USA (during the WCA International Women Video), 143 artists from 63 countries on all continents have agreed to join the collective.
