Davide De Lillis is a multidisciplinary artist and curator. He studied theatre and contemporary dance in Italy and obtained his Master’s in Choreographing Live Art at the University of Lincoln (UK). Between 2007 and 2011 he toured Italy as an actor and dancer with the companies Cooperativa teatrale Dioniso and Associazione Esse p.a. . He continued his artistic research in Berlin, founding the performing arts group 77 Stolen Fish and ¿Che.Ne.So?, whose performances have been shown in several festivals in Europe and the USA. From 2012 to the present, he has been an interpreter in Tino Sehgal’s works, touring Europe, Morocco, Russia and Japan.
As a video artist, he has an interest in exploring the intersections between dance and film. His screendance works have been in festivals across the world and have received several awards.
From 2016 to 2018 he co-curated the performing arts festival CALA Festival (Italy).
In 2020 he curated the screendance project T9 in collaboration with the Italian association for dance research TIR Danza.
